EU GREEN alliance between UNIPR and Angers

17 Jun, 2024

From the 10th to the 13th of June 2024, I was hosted by the University of Angers by Professor Marianne Lefebvre of the Department of Business and Administration Management (Gestion Des Entreprises Et Des Administrations) as part of the EU GREEN Mobility Program.

During the week, I provided lectures on the role of consumer behavior in investigating the factors that influence food choices, within the context of sustainable and healthy diets and alternative proteins from novel foods. I also met young researchers and faculty members of the University of Angers to share current research projects, foster further teaching and exchange collaborations with colleagues, and seek common interests to apply for project funding schemes. As a matter of fact, we had a nice and engaging scientific walk in downtown Angers. In particular, the main topics covered were "The impact of packaging images on the acceptance of insect-based food products", "What matters for producers when choosing a crop protection strategy? A multi-actor Q-method study", and "LAB'EAUx: Experimental laboratory for resilient management of waterS for agricultural use in Pays de Loire".

Finally, I visited the Userlab P2AC of the University, a laboratory equipped with virtual reality headsets, eye-tracking devices, sensors, that offers services in consulting, training, design, and measurement in the field of human behavior analysis.

EU Green is an ambitious project aimed at making international universities more competitive, attractive, innovative, and diverse. In addition to Unipr and Université D'Angers (France), the network includes the University of Extremadura (Spain), University of Gävle (Sweden), Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences (Poland), Universidade de Évora (Portugal), Otto von Guericke Universität Magdeburg (Germany), ATU (Ireland), and Universitatea din Oradea (Romania).
