Last week Professor Mathilde Vandenberghe, a Research Associate Professor at the Institut Supérieur d'Agriculture de Lille, was hosted at the University of Parma with the EU programme Erasmus Plus for teaching mobility.
She is working on food behavior and sensory evaluation, studying various sensory stimuli; she also works on an ontology of food texture, including objective texture measurements and sensory perceptions. She also gives courses in Sensory Analysis at ISA Lille France, which is a French Graduate School in Agriculture and Bioengineering. It offers Bachelor and Master programs in different majors in agriculture science, food science, environmental science, economics, marketing and management, both in French and in English.
She was a visiting guest as an Erasmus Teaching Professor at the University of Parma delivering several lectures on Sensory Analysis, including discriminant, descriptive, and hedonic tests, to students in bachelor and master courses, in food and gastronomic sciences.
