From 3-7 October 2022, the Emilia-Romagna Food Science Advanced Doctoral Training Programme and the Scuola di studi superiori in Alimenti e Nutrizione di Parma organized an intensive school, dedicated to PhD students in Food related sciences.
This is a short abstract from one of the participants:
Last week, I had the chance to participate in the first edition of the Food Science PhD Research Leadership and Communication School held in Alba del Borgo, in the breathtaking countryside of Parma, Italy. An amazing experience where I had the opportunity to meet 20 other PhD students from several countries. For one week, we worked together on many team activities and attended intensive communication and leadership courses with amazing, international lecturers!
We covered several topics - for instance, science communication, social media and crisis management, transformative leadership, and food design. All courses were a combination of lessons and hands-on exercises.
It was an astonishing week! Lovely experience with lovely people!
