The 2022 Parma Summer School

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), the School of Advanced Studies on Food and Nutrition of the University of Parma, and the Catholic University Sacro Cuore of Piacenza, are organising the 2022 Parma Summer School, from 28 to 30 September 2022.

The 2022 Parma Summer School aims to provide early-career researchers with an opportunity to discuss the relevance of food safety and innovation in the frame of ‘Risk Assessment of regulated products’ and learn from some of the most prominent experts in the field of risk assessment of regulated products paying special attention to food enzymes, health claims, and food contact materials. 

The program will include presentations and discussion groups exploring questions on risk assessment and risk management with special attention to food enzymes, health claims and food contact materials.

  • Chapter 1: Risk assessment/Risk management of regulated products in the EU
  • Chapter 2: Risk assessment approaches of regulated products at EFSA
  • Chapter 3: Risk assessment at the crossroads of consumer safety and innovation in food production

The program will also feature interaction between experts and participants through break-out sessions and networking virtual activities. More information about the format of the event will follow.

Online registration to attend the event will open in June 2022. The event will be held virtually. Participation is free of charge.
