I would like to share with you some very interesting events just around the corner.
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), the University of Parma, the School of Advanced Studies on Food and Nutrition, and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart are organising the Food Safety Aspects of Integrated Food Systems, 2021 Parma Summer School for next 28-30 September 2021. The 2021 Parma Summer School will provide early-career researchers with an opportunity to learn from some of the most prominent experts in the field of food safety-related aspects of integrated food systems.
The XVI Congress of the European Association of Agricultural Economists, EAAE will take place from 20-23 July 2021 in a format that will be decided later in the Spring of 2021 in view of the Covid-19 situation. The Local Organising Committee and the Programme Committee are striving to arrange a stimulating and innovative programme consisting of invited plenary presentations, invited panels, organised sessions, organised panels, contributed papers and posters as well as field trips. The Congress aims to stimulate interaction among a broad range of stakeholders of the food chain. In particular, policy makers, societal stakeholders and agribusiness representatives shall contribute to the programme through organised panels which have an open format and do not require a scientific paper. The deadline for Organised Panels and Session is February 15, and for Posters is March 1, 2021.
The 10th AIEAA Conference will be held virtually, 9-11 June 2021 "Agriculture, food and global value chains: Issues, methods and challenges". The Conference aims to contribute to this debate, by putting together different disciplines and approaches to the analysis of agri-food GVCs, of their implications in terms of economic, social and environmental sustainability and of their prospects in the post COVID-19 era. AIEAA welcomes the submission of contributions on the topics above. However, the submission of contributions on other agricultural and applied economics topics is also encouraged.
The Italian Sensory Science Society is pleased to present the 5th renewed Live Online Edition of a 3-day synchronous course in sensory and consumer science, enriched by a R-lab optional module, on 21st-23rd June 2021. The course will feature recent advances in cognitive psychology applied to sensory and consumer studies on foods, beverages, cosmetics, personal care and home care products. You will also get an overview of of the application some of the most important methods and statistical tools that can be used for collecting and extracting useful information from sensory and consumer data. The course will give you an updated basis for planning an experimental design and for understanding your results more in-depth for decisions in a commercial setting.
The environment is one pillar of One Health, and this is the first training initiative of the OHEJP entirely devoted to environmental issues. The One Health EJP Summer School 2021 Programme “Environmental Issues in One Health: from risk assessment to surveillance” will be held from 26th July to 6th August 2021 via a virtual event. The Summer School will provide interdisciplinary training on One Health topics including environmental risk assessment, climate change, zoonoses and antimicrobial resistance in the natural environment, the use of genomics in surveillance, wildlife, feeds, food security, epidemiology and risk communication.
The summer school is open to early career researchers (post-docs, PhD students, junior staff members) throughout the EU and from those involved in all aspects of One Health including biological and environmental hazards.
