I would like to share with you some very interesting events and calls just around the corner.
Next June 10–12, 2019, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, Sweden will host the 8th EAAE PhD Workshop. The purpose of the 8th EAAE PhD Workshop is to bring together PhD students in Agricultural Economics and Policy at universities and institutes in Europe to a meeting where they will discuss their on-going research with each other and with more senior researchers, network, exchange ideas and knowledge and find platforms for future collaborations. This workshop, organized for the first time in 2007, is a re-occurring event that is endorsed by the European Association of Agricultural Economists.
Next Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the European Research Day 2019: ‘Europe to Humanity’ will take place, within the 2019 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences. The European Researcher Day (ERD), organized by EURAXESS North America, celebrates and promotes Europe as a hub for research and innovation. It presents a unique networking opportunity through which European researchers can meet their counterparts from their current regions to advance their careers and explore opportunities to collaborate.
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation grants up to 50 German Chancellor Fellowships every year to prospective leaders from Brazil, China, India, Russia and the USA – irrespective of their field of work. Recipients use the fellowship to conduct together with their German host and mentor a socially-relevant project that they have developed themselves. The next summer school "Experimental Auctions: Theory and Applications in Food Marketing and Consumer Preferences Analysis", organized by Professor Maurizio Canavari, will take place in Montpellier, France, at the Campus la Gaillarde INRA / Montpellier SupAgro from July 2 - 9th. This summer school is aimed at learning the fundamentals and the recent advances of experimental auctions. It will provide the appropriate techniques to construct an experimental design, with software applications and workshops regarding specific problems in the fields of food market valuation.
