EAAE Seminar 168: Behavioural Perspectives in Agricultural Economics and Management will be held at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala in Sweden, February 6-7, 2019. The seminar addresses these questions by an exchange of current ideas and knowledge related to the effect of human personal characteristics, values, rationality, attitudes, emotions, goals, cognition etc. on production and consumption decisions. The UN High-Level Meeting on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases, on 27 September 2018 in New York, will review global and national progress on diseases such as heart and lung diseases, cancers and diabetes. The meeting programme can be found here. Themes will include strengthening health systems and financing for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases, and opportunities and challenges in engaging Governments, civil society and the private sector at the global, regional and national levels. This Issue will showcase research that illuminates the challenges and opportunities faced by the wine industry in seeking to regain and broaden its position in the global alcoholic beverages market. First of all, the EFSA conference 2018 will take place in Parma, Italy, from 18 to 21 September. It will reflect on the future of risk assessment in food safety while acknowledging the social and political context within which it operates. Researchers, risk assessors, social scientists, risk managers and stakeholders from all over the world will gather to discuss issues around the complex interplay between science, food, and society. The call for poster abstracts is now open. Participants have until 2 April 2018 to apply.
