The Dipartimento di Agraria of the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II is looking for candidates for the Master Avanzato in ECONOMIA E POLITICA AGRARIA (Director: Prof. Gianni Cicia). The Master is funded by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies (MIPAAF) and is free of charge and will start on 10 September 2018. The Master is aimed at young scholars interested in getting a modern specialization in Agricultural Economics and Food Policy to subsequently carry out their activity at national and international study and research institutions, as well as at the Public Administration, or wishing to continue their training also by participating in Research Doctorates in Italy or Graduate Schools abroad. Deadline for application is July 6, 2018. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in Parma is opening positions for Trainees (All Units and Departments). Are you interested in updating your knowledge on the European seafood sector? Are you a young professional or researcher in the seafood sector? The North American Coalition for Insect Agriculture (NACIA) is proud to announce the 2018 International Conference, Eating Insects Athens, which will be held August 13th -  August 15th, 2018 in Athens, Georgia, USA at the University of Georgia: Center for Continuing Education and Hotel (The "Georgia Center"). Eating Insects Athens (EIA) will build on the momentum of Eating Insects Detroit (2016) by bringing together global experts and leaders in the edible insect movement from industry, academia, government, cultural adoption and more. This three-day conference will include exciting presentations on research and industry progress, an expo, several catered meals centered around insects, as well as opportunities for networking and collaborating.



Finally, the Department of Environmental Science and Policy of the Università degli Studi di Milano is offering a 26-month post-doctoral research grant (from October 1, 2018 to October 31, 2020) to be held as part of a HORIZON 2020 project. The candidate must work in the framework of the project funded by the European Union: “TomRes - A novel and integrated approach to increase multiple & combined stress tolerance in plants using tomato as a model" (Call: “Sustainable food security – resilient and resource-efficient value chains. Research and Innovation Action”). The candidate must have a good knowledge of the Italian and English language as well as a good knowledge of the statistical and econometric tools and the main software. Familiarity with multivariate statistical analysis as well as qualitative investigation methods (direct interviews, case study and focus group examinations) is positively evaluated.
