I would like to share with you some very interesting events and calls just around the corner.
Next June 13-14, the International Food Marketing Research Symposium 2018 will take place in Bournemouth, UK. The Institute of Food Products Marketing conferences welcomes multidisciplinary research from quantitative and qualitative methodologies, consumer behavior and management perspectives, and the study of the entire food marketing process.
The Italian Association of Agricultural and Applied Economics (AIEAA) is ready to welcome every Italian and International researcher and other stakeholders involved in Agricultural and applied economics topics at the 7th AIEAA Conference Evidence-based policies to face new challenges for agri-food systems. Among the keynote speakers Pierluigi Londero (European Commission, Belgium) Robert Finger (ETH Zurich, Switzerland), Andrea Cattaneo (FAO, Italy), Zohra Bouamra-Mechemache (GREMAQ-INRA, France). The event will be held in Conegliano (TV) on the 14-15 June 2018.
The 2nd INTERNATIONAL GRAB-IT WORKSHOP “Organic farming and agroecology as a response to global challenges” will take place in Capri Island (Naples), Italy on the 27-29 June. The Workshop is jointly organized by GRAB-IT (Research Group in Organic Farming), Department of Agricultural Sciences – University of Naples Federico II (Italy), and Associazione Scientifica Centro di Portici, Naples. The seminar will be held at the Anacapri Congress Center Edwin Cerio, Anacapri.
Deadline for manuscript submissions for the special issue of Beverages (ISSN 2306-5710) on "Beverages and Culture" (Dr. Miranda Mirosa Guest Editor) is 30 June. The topics addressed will include: Consumer behavior and food/beverage choice; Consumer research methods; Cross-cultural research on food/beverage preferences; Asian consumers' food/beverage preferences; The impact of food/beverage choice on consumers' health and wellness; Environmental and sustainability issues around food/beverage choice.
Next July 2 - 4 in Ancona, Italy, it will be held the WICaNeM 2018 - 13th Wageningen International Conference on Chain and Network Management, organized by Wageningen University and Research and the Università Politecnica delle Marche. This year’s Conference theme will be "Sustainability and Innovation in Chains and Network". Over the last two decades, WICaNeM has become a well-known conference regarding the management, economics and organization of chains and networks in a Life Sciences context.
Finally, on June 19-21 at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center East Lansing, Michigan, the Michigan State University will host the Global Food Law Current Issues Conference. The Current Issues in Global Food Law conference explores the interconnectedness, relationships and impact of food law, food science, industry and consumers. Bringing together members of industry and the regulatory world as well as students, alumni, and faculty, the conference will increase attendees’ understanding of today's food law issues, tomorrow's opportunities, and the future challenges facing the global food industry.
Moreover, the Institute for Food Laws and Regulations (IFLR) at Michigan State University offers food law courses taught online by an international network of food science, academic, and legal professionals, who understand the complex nature of food laws and how they impact the flow of food and agricultural products across national boundaries. For instance, the course in FOOD REGULATION IN LATIN AMERICA will present current food issues, laws and regulations that impact Latin America. Food law topics including risk assessment, risk management, risk communication, food safety, international trade, and international entities such as FAO/WHO, WTO, and Codex Alimentarius will be highlighted.
